Latest PDPA Amendment
1 | Since 1 October 2022, the maximum financial penalty for a data protection breach has been increased from the previously fixed S$ 1 million to 10% of the organisation’s annual turnover in Singapore for organisations with annual local turnover exceeding S$10 million, or whichever is higher.
2 | Under the PDPA, organisations are also required to designate at least one individual as the data protection officer (DPO) to oversee data protection responsibilities and ensure compliance with the PDPA.
